30 x 30 - Day 17 - Stormed Out

On Wednesday we prepped the mast. The plan was to raise her this evening. Brian and I both arrived at the marina, ready to go. But so did the storm clouds. The horizon was dark, and the wind was just beginning to pick up. So perhaps tonight was not going to be a good night to raise 56 feet of aluminium into the air to hover above our deck. Instead, we sat together at a picnic table and enjoyed the afternoon sun as we shared our day and made plans for the rest of the evening. The conversation was accompanied by the ever increasing clang and clamour of the wind in the shrouds - a symphony of sailboats!
