30 x 30 - Day 20 - Bye Bye BBQ Deck
Mom suggests something - a good idea. Chandra gets right on it! Or at least gets it started. The deck I built a couple of years ago for the BBQ before we'd finished the side deck where it now sits, has sat empty and useless ever since. Without a compelling reason to take it down, it has remained where it is. Mom has had the revelation that we live in a rock garden, and should be thinking of it as such. This has inspired several ideas for her related to my gardens. She thinks that I should change the line of my front garden, remove the wooden porch steps and put in stone ones, and I should remove the old BBQ deck and use the flagstone that she has up at top house to finish it as a stone patio. Now before you get excited, I only got started on that last idea. I spent a joyful hour removing the old deck (its now temporarily up at Writer's Cabin) and then mom and I moved the flagstone, ready to be jisawed into place.
